Eurolat, Geronzi and Cragnotti indicted for extrusion against Tanzi

This was decided today by the Gip of the Court of Rome – According to the indictment, the former president of the Banca di Roma forced the former owner of Parmalat to buy Eurolat from Cirio.

Extortion against Callisto Tanzi and fraudulent bankruptcy in the Eurolat case, the company sold by Cirio to Parmalat. With these accusations today the Gip of the Court of Rome, Tommaso Picazio, has indicted Cesare Geronzi, Sergio Cragnotti and Riccardo Bianchini Riccardi.

In the past, the three respectively held the position of president of Banca di Roma, managing director and director of Cirio spa. According to the indictment, Geronzi forced Tanzi, Collecchio's former number one, to buy Eurolat, under penalty of non-financing by Banca di Roma. The trial will begin in the capital on January 25th.
