The banking and investment group Tages Capital SGR has announced the purchase of a portfolio of over 51 MW consisting of 35 plants located in Puglia, Sicily and Emilia Romagna. The operation – conveyed by the Tages Helios fund – was closed with SECI Spa, a company of the Maccaferri Industrial Group
The plants in the portfolio use technologies of primary standing and were built directly by Enerray, a subsidiary of SECI Energia.
With this latest acquisition, the portfolio held by Tages Helios, with an installed capacity of 208 MW, generates a total of approximately 290 GWh per year, an amount of energy sufficient to meet the electricity needs of over 100 households and allows savings of about 152 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere.
The Tages Helios fund is entirely dedicated to the Italian photovoltaic sector and has raised more than 250 million Euros to date.
The Fund participates in insurance companies, pension funds and social security funds, banking foundations and banking institutions, as well as professional private investors together with the management of the SGR.
The plants will be managed by Delos Power, a company born from the partnership between Tages Helios and Renam, an Italian operator in the asset management sector dedicated to plants for the production of energy from renewable sources with over 400 MW of managed plants. Operations and maintenance activities will continue to be carried out by Enerray.
The President of the Tages Group, Umberto quadrino, declared: “I am particularly pleased with the conclusion of the acquisition of a group of high quality photovoltaic plants created by a primary Italian industrial group. With this operation, the Tages Helios portfolio reaches the size of 208 MW, confirming the fund as the third operator on the Italian market”.
Gaetano Maccaferri, Chairman of the Maccaferri Industrial Group, commented: “I am happy that the acquisition of Enerray's photovoltaic plants is being carried out by a leading company in the sector such as Tages. This operation is part of the repositioning of SECI Energia in the photovoltaic sector, within which Enerray is the Italian leader in plant management and maintenance. The proceeds of this operation will be reinvested in other initiatives concerning the energy sector”
