ENAV awards Finmeccanica-Selex contract worth 206 million

Green light from Enav's board of directors at the beginning of the planning phase of the 4-Flight program, the new generation air traffic control system, which meets the requirements of the single European sky and global standards of excellence.

A framework contract worth a total of 205,9 million was awarded - informs a note from ENAV - by Finmeccanica-Selex ES, at the head of an industrial grouping, selected through a European tender, which will develop the programme.

The 4-Flight system - continues the note - will guarantee optimal performance in terms of safety, capacity, environmental impact and cost efficiency for both air navigation service providers and airlines, helping to improve the performance of the entire network European.

"4-Flight - declares the president of the flight assistance company Maria Teresa Di Matteo - will allow ENAV to operate in accordance with increasingly greater safety and efficiency requirements, robustly supporting the growth of national and European air transport, with important benefits for the country system. This program – she concludes – confirms the strengthening of the operational and technological leadership position achieved by the Company in the international context”.
