The growth concerned above all the most important airports. In addition to Rome, Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, Bergamo Oro al Serio and Venice also show significant increases.

In the first six months of 2011, over 67 million passengers passed through Italian airports, with a growth trend that mainly concerned the most important airports. This was revealed by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC). With 17.400.958 passengers, Rome Fiumicino totaled an increase of 5,34% compared to the first half of 2010. 9.131.095 passengers passed through Milan Malpensa, with an increase of +5,72%. Milan Linate reaches an increase of 12,34% (registered 4.274.883 passengers), while Bergamo Orio al Serio grows by 9,83% and Venice by 14,74%. However, the data is still provisional and partial as it is not yet available for all airports.
