Despite a difficult market and economic condition around the world Ducati continues its phase of growth and improvement, both in terms of market shares and production and sales volumes.

In 2011, Ducati's revenues grew from 305 million euros in 2006 to 480 million and Ebitda rose from 27 million in 2006 to 94 million in 2011. The number of employees increased from 1.043 in 2006 to 1.193 which, today , work for Ducati. Sales have also been a success, growing significantly from 35.300 units in 2006 to 42.200 at the end of 2011.

And 2012 also started in the best possible way, with the absolute record for the month of May, with over 6.500 motorcycles sold and a 12% growth over May 2011 which had already achieved an important result. An increase of 48% in the US market, 238% in Asia and some positive signals from Europe, such as +13% in France, have therefore allowed Ducati to grow by 12% in sales but, above all, to record a +20% in turnover (May YTD) confirming the growth in volumes and thanks to the improvement in the product mix.

“We are on the threshold of a new era that the company is facing with the awareness of having achieved all the objectives that we set ourselves with Investindustrial, our current shareholder. - he said Gabriele Del Torchio, President of Ducati, during a meeting with the press present at WDW2012 – From 2006 to today we have doubled our market share and doubled our turnover, with a marked improvement also in the financial positioning. Today Ducati is a very solid company, which has attracted the interest of the largest European player in the automotive world, with whom we are ready to embark on a new great adventure”.
