More than one million euros of investment to install padel courts, enhance the gyms and areas wellness also with new Technogym machines, the "Sardinian Signature" SPA treatment line. These are some of the elements that enrich the offer of Delphina hotels & resorts to enhance the proposals for sport and well-being.
The company owns, operates and markets directly 12 hotel 5-star, 4-star superior and 4-star, prestigious villas, 6 SPAs and exclusive residences in the best locations in Northern Sardinia: immersed in Mediterranean parks overlooking the sea between the Costa Smeralda, the La Maddalena Archipelago and the Gulf of Asinara, in the localities of Cannigione, palau, Santa Teresa Gallura, Isola Rossa e Badesi.
Delphina Hotels & Resorts: new investments
The new investments (for over one million) will be used to install two padel courts at the Resort & SPA Le Dune, one at the Marinedda Hotel, one at the Valle dell'Erica Resort and one at the Park Hotel Cala di Lepre, where the also the offer of Tecnogym machines and equipment. In the Resort & SPA Le Dune, reconfirmed as the best beach resort in Italy at the 2021 World Travel Awards, outdoor equipment has been installed for bodyweight workouts.
"Our SPAs and thalassotherapy centers are the result of a collaboration with Thalgo France and are the result of important projects created in partnership", declares the Delphina brand manager Elena Muntoni. "We have always wanted to favor sports and outdoor activities and this is also why we have gyms and equipped areas born with this approach because we consider it one of the added values of staying in Sardinia", concluded Muntoni.
Since 2018 Delphina has entered the Intesa San Paolo "Lounge" of Elite, the Borsa Italiana-Euronext Group project for high-potential companies created in collaboration with Confindustria.
The Sardinian hotel chain focuses on sustainability
The luxury hotel chain took the podium at the World Travel Awards 2021, the Oscars of international tourism as World's Leading Green Independent Hotel Group, best independent green hotel group in the world and the Resort Valle dell'Erica reconfirms the title of best green resort in Europe for the third consecutive year.
Delphina has been adopting growth policies for years eco friendly. It is the first Italian hotel chain to use 100% green energy in all its hotels, resorts and headquarters, coming exclusively from renewable sources, with a saving of 3536 tons of CO2 per year, quantities which absorb about twenty-five thousand trees in a year . Furthermore, it is committed to limiting the use of plastic in favor of biodegradable materials: the chain has eliminated plastic bottles for all Delphina collaborators who receive a free bottle to refill in the specially installed fountains, with a saving of 68.700 bottles of plastic per year.
Hotels and Resorts use products Ecolabel for ordinary cleaning; the courtesy line and the SPA products are certified eco-bio and free from parabens. Great attention is also paid to sustainable mobility with electric vehicles recharged on site for the movement of guests within the resorts and columns for electric cars available to guests. For the printing of the catalogues, completely vegetable-based inks, paper and cover in certified ecological cellulose that is fully recyclable.
The offer food and wine favors local raw materials with the "Genuine Local Food Oriented" project, a Delphina brand, in support of a healthy cuisine based on ingredients that respect seasonality, preferably at km 0.
