The Tuscan capital is the third city, after Milan and Rome, to revolutionize its mobility with a car sharing service characterized by free and completely online registration – It had already done so in May with Car2go, the German competitor (belongs to the group Daimler) which is approaching one million users worldwide – Fiat 500 against Smart.

The Tuscan capital is therefore the third largest city, after Milan and Rome, a revolutionize your mobility and that of its citizens with a car sharing service characterized by free and completely online registration: it had already done it a few months ago with the competitor Car2Go (German company that belongs to the Daimler group and which makes Smart Mercedes available), now also with the all-Italian private offer.

The official presentation took place today in the Sala d'Arme of Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria, in the presence of the Mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella and representatives of Eni, Fiat and Trenitalia. Methods and characteristics of Enjoy car sharing in Florence are the same as those already in force in Milan and Rome: can be view the nearest car and book it with the smartphone app (Android, iOS and Windows Phone) or via the website enjoy.eni.com. It is also possible to choose a free one along the way, hire it and start the rental right away.

The cars have free access and transit in the ZTL and can be released at the end of use (or even in "parking" mode) in any parking allowed within the area covered by the service (which for Florence is approximately 56 sq km) , including spaces reserved for residents and paid spaces delimited by blue lines. All the Fiat 500s in the Florentine fleet are Euro 6 approved, have parking sensors and are equipped to carry up to four people. The rates are also similar to those of the capitals of Lazio and Lombardy: 25 cents per minute in movement (for the first 50 km, after which the cost per km of 25 cents also applies) and 10 cents per minute when you decide to leave the rental car parked. The rate is all inclusive, as it also includes insurance, maintenance, fuel and parking costs.

Florence will therefore be the testing ground for a new trend, which to date between Milan and Rome has totaled (as regards Enjoy) a total 185 subscribers and 1 million rentals: similar is the response of the competitor Car2Go, which aims for millions of users in all the countries where it is present (between Europe and North America) by the end of 2014.
