Many times they are recycled. Often, even with a career still in progress. They invest in businesses or take over shares in large companies. Usually in the restaurant or clothing industry, or real estate business rather than nightclubs. sometimes even launching their own brands, or becoming partners with others. In short, becoming entrepreneurs.

Are the Italian footballers, from Vieri to Maldini, from Baggio to Costacurta, passing through Cannavaro, Mancini and many others. Last on the list is Juventus and national team goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, in a fairly new field, at least compared to his colleagues. After attempting the football adventure by joining the Carrara club, Buffon decided to abandon football, both behind the desk and (in a few years time) in goal, to devote himself to furnishing linen.

Already some time ago the Juventus goalkeeper was one of the reference shareholders of Zucchi, with approximately 15% of the stake in the company. In a short time he will become the main shareholder, having pledged almost 3 million (2,92 to be exact) in thecapital increase of the large household linen production and distribution company, which will start on Monday 7 November, after the green light received yesterday from Consob, and will end on 25 November. After the capital increase, Buffon will own 19,39% of the shares, thus becoming the first shareholder.

Meanwhile, returning to football, there are financial movements also on the facing As Roma. At the end of the tender offer promoted by Neep Roma Holding on the ordinary shares of the Giallorossi company, 14,5 million shares were contributed to the offer, equal to 33,252% of the shares involved in the offer and 10,941% of the share capital.

He communicated it, on the basis of preliminary data, the company headed by Thomas Di Benedetto and owned by Unicredit. By adding the shares brought in acceptance of the offer to those already held by the bidder, Neep holds 78,038% of the capital of As Roma. Therefore, the residual tender offer is not necessary. The total value of the shares contributed to the offer is equal to 9,831 million euros.
