Boston, new attack on America: bombs on the marathon, three dead and over 140 injured

One thing is certain: it is terrorism, even if the origin is uncertain, and there are currently three victims with over 140 wounded. The terrible attack that hit the Boston Marathon yesterday has terrorized the United States again: the first bomb exploded a few hundred meters from the finish line, and the runners who were about to reach the finish line were overwhelmed by the wave of bump. By the time he realizes he's in the middle of an emergency, a second bomb has exploded further down the road. A third explosion, possibly caused by a street fire, occurred at the nearby John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library. And then, not least, there were also five other unexploded devices.

In total there would therefore be at least three deaths: one of the victims is an 8-year-old boy, who was waiting for his father near the finish line. An initial assessment also speaks of 141 wounded. Among these many (at least 17) are very serious, and according to CNN 10 - including runners - would have suffered amputations. There are 8 children in the hospital.

The alarm was immediately extended to the cities of New York and Washington as well. The airspace over Boston has been closed. The White House speaks of a coordinated attack. For the FBI, in constant telephone contact with President Obama, it is a terrorist attack. Obama, immediately informed of the incident, called the mayor and governor and ordered the administration to do what was necessary to assist the Massachusetts authorities while his deputy Joe Biden immediately evoked a possible attack, speaking in turn of "bombs".

In London, in view of next week's marathon, the police immediately strengthened security measures. Meanwhile, the investigation has begun. A local television station reported the news (confirmed by the police) of a search in a house on the outskirts of Boston, in the Revere area. And again: the news of a person arrested on suspicion of being involved in the explosions was confirmed by Fox News which cites investigative sources but at the moment does not speak of Saudi nationality like the New York Post, the newspaper which had first shouted the news. The suspect would be in hospital, at Brigham and Women's Hospitale where most of the wounded would have been taken, and his body would be covered in burns. However, CNN denied the news, reporting that the Boston police deny the arrest.
