The Supreme Court has Fininvest's appeal was rejected yesterday against Carlo De Benedetti's Cir for compensation for the so-called "Lodo Mondadori", yet the news, at least in the opening of today's Piazza Affari session, seems to benefit the titles of the Berlusconi galaxy more than vice versa. While yesterday the news sent De Benedetti's holding company shares flying on the stock exchange which, around 15.40 pm, recorded an increase of almost 5% to 1,2 euro, today Cir opens with a drop of 1,22% and also the Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso loses 0,34% at the opening.
Conversely, despite the compensation awarded to Cir, which remains essentially confirmed even if with a downward adjustment (equal to approximately 23 million euros) on the amount paid by the judges and equal to 564,2 million euros, the "Berlusconian" securities float in positive territory: Mondadori around +0,47%, Mediaset at 0,24%.
