Drowsy, the National Association of Popular Banks, has elected Vito Antonio Primiceri, President of the Association. Primiceri, current President of Banca Popolare Pugliese, held the position of Vice President of Assopopolari.
The new president takes the place of the lawyer Corrado Sforza Fogliani passed away last December.
Who is Vito Primiceri
Vito Primiceri was born in 1943 in Matino (Lecce), where he currently resides. He graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Bari. At the age of 23 enters the Banca Popolare Pugliese (then Banca Agricola di Matino) and then became General Manager e since 2014 President of the Bank. Currently he is Director of the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund; Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of the Italian Banking Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Luigi Luzzatti Società Consortile per Azioni”. In the past he was Director of the Italian Banking Association and member of the Executive Committee and of the Central Institute of Italian Popular Banks SpA of which he was also Vice President.
