Assogestioni, record fundraising in March: it's the best quarter since 2000

Despite the expected increase in the taxation of financial income from 20 to 26%, last month, according to data released by Assogestioni in the monthly map, subscriptions reached a new record of 18,8 billion euro: in total, the first quarter it is the best since 2000 – Among the individual companies, Generali stands out with 7,7 billion.

New record for fundraising in March, after the positive figure in February (+11,8 billion) and the setbacks in December 2013 (-582 million) and January 2014 (-1,51 billion), after the series 11 months positive.

Despite the expected increase in the taxation of financial income from 20% to 26% last month, according to data released by Assogestioni in the monthly map, subscriptions have reached a new record of 18,8 billion euro. All-time high for assets which reaches 1.390 billion euros (1.362 billion) for the first time. In detail, collective management which represents 45,6% of assets collected 14,45 billion (6,43 billion in February) totally attributable to open funds, while portfolio management (54,4% of assets) decreased to 4,35 billion (from 5,38 billion) of which 515 million for retail funds (from 553 million) and 3,84 billion for institutional funds (from 4,82 billion).

In terms of individual companies, the group stands out above all Generali which raised over 7,7 billion, of which 7,6 billion in open funds. The group follows Intesa Sanpaolo (2,7 billion), of which 2,3 billion relating to Eurizon and 412 million to Banca Fideuram. Third place for Pioneer (group Unicredit) with net inflows of 1,4 billion, pressed by the newly listed company Holding soul (1,1 billion) and by the post office (1 billion). Among the other asset managers of Piazza AffariAzimuth achieved net flows of 230 million, while the group Mediolanum 293 million.
