Apple to conquer China: "It will be our first market"

Apple aims at China which, word of Tim Cook, "It will become our first market, I'm sure". This is the gist of the interview released by the CEO of the Cupertino company, who yesterday met with China Mobile's number 1 Xi Guohua, to the New China agency.

The Apple CEO, who is in China for the second time in less than a year, predicts that the Dragon will overtake the United States as the first market for Apple in the near future. “China – these are his words – is currently our second market. But it will become the first, I'm sure of it."

However, Cook dribbled away the questions about the rumors that Apple intends to launch a model of Cheap iPhones for emerging merchants, including China, in an effort to stem competition from cheaper smartphones. The CEO of Apple has announced the group's willingness to open 25 new Apple Stores in "Greater China" (which includes Taiwan and Hong Kong), against a total of 11 currently present.

After the controversy of recent months on working conditions in Apple's supplier companies in China, Cook wanted to reassure about the new rules imposed by Apple on its suppliers, aimed at guaranteeing workers' rights.
