Allianz ended the third quarter with a net profit of 1,344 billion euros, against the 196 million recorded in the same period last year, which was negatively affected by the writedowns on Greek government bonds.
The German insurance group's operating profits rose 32,8% to 2,532 billion, while revenues increased to 25,2 billion (+4,7%). The company raised its 2012 operating profit guidance: “ We expect them to exceed 9 billion,” reads a note.
In the first nine months of the year, operating profit reached 7,22 billion (+23,2%). The Solvency Ratio for the whole of September is 190%, an improvement of 4 percentage points from 186% at the end of June.
