Alitalia: the first phase of the recapitalization closes with 173 million in proceeds

The first phase of Alitalia's 300 million capital increase ended with a collection of 173 million, against subscriptions received from shareholders and payments made by Intesa Sanpaolo and Unicredit. This is the figure communicated by the company which also announced that it had received, in accordance with the resolution approving the aforementioned increase, reserves relating to unopted shares for quantities higher than those available.

According to the aforementioned resolution, these reservations must be confirmed in the next few days (no later than next 10 December) and the relative confirmation declarations must be accompanied by the corresponding payment. Based on the indications received to date, the company believes that, also taking into account the subscription commitments undertaken towards it, the conditions exist for the capital increase in question to be fully placed and subscribed.
