His image is in the homes of millions of people: the little man with the mustache imprinted on the most famous made in Italy moka pot. At the age of 93, Renato Bialetti died in his Swiss villa in Ascona, in Canton Ticino.
In the post-war period and during all the years of the economic boom, he had created an empire also thanks to a new type of marketing, which remained engraved in the memory of the Italians who grew up with Carosello. The idea of the little moustachioed figure was born from the cartoonist Paul Campani, who was inspired by the face of Renato Bialetti.
At the end of the XNUMXs, the entrepreneur of the well-known brand of housewares had sold the company first to Faema, then to the Ranzoni family of Brescia, who still own it today.
