In Milan the conference "The Italian water industry in a European perspective"

Bocconi University – Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management, directed by Professor Andrea Colli – organized a conference entitled “The Italian Water Industry in a European Perspective.
Paths to excellence”. The event will be held on 10 April 2018 at 9.00 in the Aula Magna Bocconi University in via Gobbi 5 in Milan.

Authoritative exponents of the water sector will participate, Italians and with a continental vision.

During the event, the latest book by prof. Andrea Gilardoni entitled “The Italian Water Industry. Cases of Excellence” (Springer, 2018).

Gilardoni, professor at Bocconi, is president and founder of Agici Corporate Finance, a research and consultancy company specializing in the utilities and infrastructure sector. Agici also annually publishes a report on the sector. The 2018 edition, presented last March 1st in Milan, for the water sector speaks of a real "renaissance" with investments recovering thanks to more favorable regulation, to the particular benefit of sewage and purification services.

“The water sector has been under-invested for years and is now restarting to guarantee supplies – this is the case of the Peschiera aqueduct in Rome – but also to cope with the ongoing climate change. The need to invest in waste is given by differentiated waste, by the recovery technologies it requires to facilitate the process of closing landfills". This what Professor Gilardoni explained to FIRSTonline.
