Webuild, through its American subsidiary Lane has signed contracts for a total of 643 million dollars (equal to 547 million euros), in joint venture with Superior Construction, for the construction of the Westshore Interchange project, the largest Florida Department of Infrastructure Work of Transportation (FDOT) in the Tampa Bay area. The project aims to modernize and improve safety and traffic capacity on key arterial routes in the area.

In 2023, the joint venture – owned 50% by Lane and 50% by Superior Construction – had already signed a $10 million design-only contract, preparatory to the signing of these new contracts.

The Group thus strengthens its already consolidated presence in the United States, where it positions itself as a strategic partner for the modernization of the country's infrastructure network, according to a statement. The United States also represents one of the Group's most strategic markets, with Lane serving as the leading local operator.

Among the most significant ongoing projects are the twin Palisades tunnels to enhance rail links in New York City and, in Florida, the Seminole Expressway/SR 417 and I-275/I-4 Downtown Tampa Interchange (DTI) projects in Tampa and strategic intersections between I-4 and Sand Lake Road and between I-4 and SR 535 in Orange County. In July, the Group was awarded widening and modernization work on I-85 in North Carolina and modernization work on a section of I-75, a major northern traffic corridor in Florida.
