Swisscom CEO Carsten Schloter was found dead this morning at his home near Freiburg. The police think about a suicide.

"Deeply moved, the Board of Directors, employees and Group Management express their deepest condolences to the family and relatives," said Hansueli Loosli, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The management of the company has been entrusted to Urs Schaeppi, Head of Swisscom Switzerland on an interim basis. Schloter joined the company in 2000 at the helm of Swisscom Mobile. In 2006 he was appointed CEO of Swisscom.
