The “Operazione Risorgimento Digitale” project continues and is enriched with new contents, the great alliance between institutions, businesses and the third sector launched last November by TIM to encourage the dissemination of digital skills among citizens, businesses and public administrations. Faced with the Coronavirus emergency and with a view to continuing its mission, "Maestri d'Italia" will be launched from 14 April, the first online school that was created with the aim of bringing digital culture into Italian homes through the testimony of public figures and learning formats even for the youngest, in order to make known all the potential of the Internet in a particular moment for the country.
Operation Digital Risorgimento” thus it takes on an even more strategic and systemic value, continuing with the intention of boosting the ongoing digitization process. It is therefore a widespread, free and interactive school, which arises from the synergy between virtual "places" and a rich schedule of meetings and interactive contents lasting about an hour, available live on the Operazione Risorgimento Digitale website, on the YouTube and Facebook, on demand on online teaching platforms that have already joined the project (Cisco, Google, IBM and WeSchool) and on all the others that want to join the initiative.
“In the difficult moment we face – he comments Tim's president Salvatore Rossi – the importance of digital and of the skills needed to use it, to stay on the net is growing dramatically. Therefore, Operation Risorgimento Digitale could not stop, it had to accelerate. After enhancing the citizens' ability to connect to each other and to the web, we then decided to take a further step: Maestri d'Italia will allow us, in a concrete way, to strengthen the dialogue started with citizens of all ages and in all corner of the country, giving them information and insights offered by figures of excellence. However, we hope that our original project will soon return to the streets of Italy”.
The project will address all age groups with lessons and dialogues on the major issues of digital and society: citizens, teachers, entrepreneurs, children will be able to acquire new digital skills, which are now more central than ever. Interaction with the public will be guaranteed thanks to the use of accessible platforms such as Google Meet, YouTube and Facebook, which allow you to share video, audio and screens. The program includes a cycle of over thirty lessons held by the "Masters" who will explore the social and economic impacts of the Coronavirus emergency with the aim of creating opportunities for dialogue and discussion.
