Russia: Pussy Riot, France and Spain against Putin. Russians wanted 'socially useful' jobs

France and Spain against Putin. For the Russians, on the other hand, it would have been better to impose socially useful jobs on the three girls. Yesterday only 500 people at the pro Pussy Riot parade.

Russia: Pussy Riot, France and Spain against Putin. Russians wanted 'socially useful' jobs

Before the performance of Pussy Riot (a group formed by Maria Alekhina, Ekaterina Samutsevich and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) in the Moscow cathedral with the anti-Putin song "Oh Jesus, deliver us from Putin", no one knew who these three fierce Russian girls were. Today, however, everyone knows them.

Before the trial, international stars such as Sting and Madonna came to their rescue so that the Russian court would not send them to jail.

But international outrage is still as lively as ever, despite the fact that the two-year prison sentence for the three components of the Russian group "Pussy Riot" has not revived the opposition movement against Russian President Valdimir Putin.

The first protest organized yesterday after the scandalous sentence gathered just five hundred people, according to estimates by journalists present on the spot. Only one person was stopped: a girl with a white balaclava, a symbol of the rebellion of the Russian punk group.

But what do they think in Europe or the United States? Especially what do the Russians think?

For example, the French press harshly attacked Putin's government. The trial, according to Liberation, Le Monde and Le Figaro, the trial of the three members of the punk group was a farce, a parody of justice and democracy. In fact, according to the newspaper, Russia cannot be defined as a rule of law and has nothing to do with the other G8 democracies, since Putin, after winning rigged elections, has always harshly repressed any criticism against him.

In the Spanish newspaper El Pais, this was the headline on the front page: Todos somos Pussy Riot.

Now let's move on to Russian newspapers. Most Russians, apart from the anti-Putin ranks, believe it was right to punish the three girls: how? With 3 years of socially useful work: according to the Russian people, two years in prison is too much.
