Romano Prodi appointed president of the International Advisory Board of Unicredit

New assignment (free of charge) for Romano Prodi. From today the Professor is the new president of the International Advisory Board of UniCredit. Leading personalities from the political and business worlds from various countries already belong to the IAB, including: Javier Solana, former High Representative for the European Union's Common Foreign and Security Policy; Aleksander Kwasniewski, former President of Poland; Joschka Fischer, former Foreign Minister of Germany and Vice-Chancellor.

The top management of UniCredit also participates in the committee: the chairman Giuseppe Vita, the managing director Federico Ghizzoni, and the general manager Roberto Nicastro, as well as the CEOs of the main banks of the Group. The spirit of the Iab is to offer opportunities for exchange on political, economic and social issues and to reflect on the prospects in Europe and in international markets.

Prodi, as mentioned, holds the position free of charge. It happens to Giuliano Amato, appointed judge of the Constitutional Court last September, to whom the heartfelt thanks of the International Advisory Board of UniCredit go for the valuable contribution ensured in recent years.
