Financial Attractiveness Award 2022: Comer Industries and Marchesi Antinori winners of the fifth edition

The fifth edition of the Financial Attractiveness Award of the partnership Excellencies of Enterprise – the partnership between Gea – Management consultants, Arca Fondi Sgr and Harvard Business Review Italia – with the patronage of Borsa Italiana. The winners of the 2022 edition are Comer Industries for listed companies and Marchesi Antinori for unlisted companies.

The Financial Attractiveness Award was established in 2018 by Eccellenze d'Impresa to reward leading companies for transparency, governance and the ability to attract private savings to grow. The recognition is divided into two categories, listed and unlisted companies. The 2021 edition was won by Enel (listed company) e Dompè (unlisted).

Financial Attractiveness Award 2022: the reasons

Comer Industries received the award for the listed companies category with the following motivation: “Comer Industries is the leading global player in the design and production of engineering systems and mechatronic solutions for power transmission. Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, with around 4.000 employees and 16 plants, the company is present on 3 continents in the agricultural machinery, building and forestry equipment, energy and industrial sectors. Following the acquisition of Walterscheid Powertrain Group (2021), the company today exceeds one billion euros in consolidated revenues. Comer Industries is characterized by a solid and flexible business model to promptly respond to market needs and offers a wide range of products to satisfy diversified requests. Lastly, the company holds over 100 patents, a clear expression of its strong propensity for innovation”.

Marchesi Antinori, for the unlisted companies category, was instead rewarded for “exceptional financial performance, with very high margins and constant growth over the long term; high and constant organic growth, with enhancement and continuous development of the company's historic premium brands; a significant inorganic growth based on the continuous search for acquisition opportunities; an excellent degree of internationalisation, equal to 64% of total sales”.
