From today, Postepay Evolution and Postepay Evolution Business holders will also be able to do so. The Google Pay service was introduced on the Postepay app (one of the most popular electronic wallets in Italy, with 8 million downloads), which also enables online payments. This was announced by Poste Italiane, explaining that users will be able to enable it in just a few clicks through the "Card management services" available on the app.
The novelty adds to the Postepay+ services for mobility, which already allow you to buy tickets for public transport and Trenitalia, pay for parking on the blue lines of over 100 Italian cities and refuel at over 400 enabled Ip-Matic distributors.
"The services will gradually be extended to the entire national territory - writes Poste Post - To use the new Postepay services, simply download the Postepay App extension by clicking on the "+" symbol on the Postepay App home screen, and enable your card in the standard or Evolution version”.
The security of the app, Poste continues, is guaranteed "not only by entering one's personal code, but also by means of biometric recognition and fingerprints". However, you must have a smartphone that supports these technologies.
