2012 didn't change Juventus' habits. Conte's team has also beaten Lecce, recovering a victory that has been missing away from home since last October 29 (2-1 over Inter). The three points of the Via del Mare weigh heavily, because they arrived after an uninspiring performance. In short, a victory for a great team, in a game that would have ended differently last season. But this time it's another story, and Matri's decisive goal proves it once more: left out for Quagliarella, the former Cagliari striker took over from the Neapolitan striker (for him a fractured cheekbone) and a few minutes later match unlocked. Nothing transcendental, but winning after the break was important: “Recovery after the break is always an unknown factor – said Conte – we are satisfied with the three points, but we could have finished the game earlier and therefore avoided useless suffering until the end. In any case, I am satisfied with the desire shown by the boys to get the three points".

Also noteworthy is the contestation of the black and white curve against Marco Borriello. The Juventus ultras have displayed a long banner that does not bode well: "Borriello mercenary without honor and dignity". The dispute arose in the summer of 2010, when the striker (at Milan at the time) refused the transfer to Juventus to go to Roma. The Juventus people have not forgotten, and the feeling is that Lecce was only the beginning of a difficult relationship. Antonio Conte took care of it to cool things down: “Borriello and the fans? He hadn't turned down Juventus, but Roma guaranteed Milan the obligatory redemption, while Juve couldn't do it. The footballer has already explained and the fans can understand that he hadn't rejected Juventus. Only a madman could have done that." But the fans don't seem convinced.
