Obama tries to isolate Russia: "We will also hit the banks"

"Today we will impose additional sanctions on Russia, I have signed another executive order which allows for charging costs not only to those involved but also to crucial sectors of the Russian economy". This was stated by the American president, Barack Obama, speaking from the White House on the Ukraine crisis on the day in which the Russian lower house approved the annexation and tomorrow the upper house in Moscow should give the final go-ahead.

Obama said the new sanctions will hit new people who played a key role in the Crimea crisis as well as banks. Other aggressions, said the president, "will have the result of isolating Russia even more in front of the international community".
