Milan in the Europa League, ok to appeal. Yonghong Li investigated

The long-awaited sentence of the Tas of Lausanne has arrived. The Court of Arbitration for Sport saves Milan, readmitting them to the Europa League.

The Swiss judges upheld the AC Milan's appeal on the matter harsh disqualification imposed by UEFA last June 27, which had excluded Milan from European sporting competitions for the 2018-19 season, for failure to comply with the Financial Fair Play regimes in the three-year period 2014-2017.

The Rossoneri will therefore be able to play in the Europa League, starting from the group stage. Atalanta in the preliminary rounds. Stay out of Fiorentina.

The CAS also sent the documents back to UEFA, inviting them to impose a "proportionate sanction" on Milan for the violation committed.

But that's not the only bombshell that arrived today at the Rossoneri. The now former owner of the club, the Chinese Yonghong Li, has been entered in the register of suspects with the hypothesis of the crime of false accounting. The investigation is in the hands of the Milan prosecutor's office.

The investigations are trying to get a clearer picture of the AC Milan purchase from Fininvest and the official communications through which Li reiterated that he could afford the 740 million euros needed to buy the club. We recall that two weeks ago the Chinese manager failed to repay the 32 million loan received from the Elliott fund which has now taken control of Milan.
