After the rumours and requests for clarity from the authorities, the confirmations have arrived: the Portuguese media conglomerate Feminine has declared that its majority shareholder is in negotiations to sell a significant share to MFE-MediaForEurope of the Berlusconi family. Negotiations are proceeding on an exclusive basis, although no binding agreement has yet been reached.
"According to the information provided by the majority shareholder, in the context of the publicly disclosed negotiations with the MFE group, the possibility of the latter acquiring a significant stake (direct or indirect) for the purposes of control has not been ruled out," Impresa said in a statement. The dossier is long-standing; the clarification was requested by the Portuguese Consob.
At Piazza Affari, Mfe shares were trading at 3,16 euros in the late morning, up 0,44%.

Furthermore, Impresa is the Portuguese medium-sized company with the highest number of television channels that also broadcast abroad: 6 channels.
