Fininvest, holding company of the Berlusconi family, will have to compensate De Benedetti's Cir with a sum equal to 246mila euros relating to non-pecuniary damages regarding the affair of the Lodo Mondadori. Judge Nadia Dell'Arciprete decided it in the context of the so-called Lodo Mondadori bis procedure.
The lawyers of the De Benedetti family had asked for compensation of 32 million euros for non-pecuniary damages which today would rise to around 100 including interest and legal costs. The request was presented by Cir after the final sentence of the Cassation which condemned Fininvest to pay 494 million euros to the publisher of the Repubblica group L'Espresso as compensation for financial damages in the Lodo Mondadori affair.
