Honda resurrects in 2012: profits more than double to 2,77 billion euros in the April-December period

Honda announced that it more than doubled its net income in the first nine months of the 2012-2013 fiscal year (April 1-December 31, 2012) to 2,77 billion euros, up 108%.

The exploits of the third largest car manufacturer in Japan were driven by the surprising increase in car sales: +50% in the period examined, +14% instead for two-wheeled vehicles. Honda has therefore brilliantly overcome the impasse of 2011, when the earthquake in Japan and the flood in Thailand had severely damaged production and the market.

The group said it was particularly satisfied with the results in North America, which among other things contributed to raising turnover by 28,7% to 7.133 billion yen, 68 billion euro.
