"This recognition highlights the evolution of Generali's sustainability path which is an integral part of the Generali 2021 strategic plan," explains the company in a note, recalling that by 2021 it has committed to making 4,5 billion in green investments and sustainable and to achieve a 7-9% growth in premiums deriving from products with social and environmental value.

The ranking also includes Intesa Sanpaolo, confirmed for the fourth consecutive year among the Top 100 of the most sustainable companies in the world.

“We are particularly proud of these international awards which give our commitment to sustainability an authoritative international seal. The environment is a strategic and priority issue and Intesa Sanpaolo is ready to accelerate investments in the green economy, guaranteeing 50 billion to support this change. Our commitment to social and environmental sustainability is made possible by the results of the Bank, one of the most solid and profitable in Europe, results obtained thanks to the 90.000 people who work there. For this reason, the confirmation of the inclusion in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index which evaluates gender and work-family conciliation policies has a particular significance”, declared the CEO and Managing Director of Intesa Sanpaolo, Charles Messina.
