The floods that hit Central Europe will cost a Generali about 100 million euros. The estimate, net of reinsurance recoveries and taxes, is provided by the insurance group itself, dealing with the thousands of claims recorded in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.
To deal with the liquidation of damages in the best possible way, the Leone has sent a large part of its staff to the areas overwhelmed by the floods, setting up, as a note informs us, a task force of technicians active 24 hours a day, to which are added the various voluntary initiatives organized by employees.

The actions of the Trieste insurance group are driving the disposals of assets in Mexico, which gave Leone a capital gain of around 500 million euros.
