Fincantieri on the Stock Exchange: no dividends for at least 3 years

CEO Giuseppe Bono remarked that the goal remains to make the company grow: "In the past we did it with our own resources, in the future we will also have the resources of the shareholders to seize market opportunities, but also to grow internal lines. It would be dystonic to ask the market for money to grow and then distribute dividends".

Fincantieri on the Stock Exchange: no dividends for at least 3 years

“In the medium term we will not distribute dividends”. This was stated by the financial director of Fincantieri, Fabrizio Palermo, during the press conference for the start of the placement on the stock exchange of the group, specifying that the resources will be entirely used to finance the growth of the company.

To those who asked for a quantification of the medium term, the CEO of Fincantieri, Giuseppe Bono, replied that the medium term is normally considered "at least three years": a period during which the group wants to "accumulate resources for growth", therefore "It would be dystonic to ask the market for money to grow and then distribute dividends".

With the proceeds of the IPO “we count on having the resources – continued Bono – to be stronger and able to take the necessary initiatives” to make the group grow, also looking at the reference market.

The CEO remarked that the objective remains that of "making the company grow: in the past we did it with our own resources, in the future we will also have the resources of the shareholders to seize market opportunities, but also for growth by lines internal".
