Facebook: the "Like" is no longer just, the "Reactions" are coming

Other than the 'I don't like' button. Facebook surprises everyone and heralds the arrival of another six buttons that will flank the 'Like' button. These are six new ones Emoji Reactions that will help users to better classify their reactions to news, statuses, photos and videos.

In the newsroom of the Facebook site, product manager Chris Tosswill explained in a short article that i new Emoji Reactions will be extensions of the 'Like' button and which will allow to express the right reaction of the user. Behind the choice of Facebook Emoji Reactions there were several focus groups and studies that led the developers to the choice of introducing six different extensions of the current 'Like'.

The beta version of the Facebook emoji starts in Spain and Ireland because in these two countries there is a user with closed groups and few international friends which will help developers better understand the use of the buttons by these communities.

But what are the six new Facebook buttons?

Shortly, by holding down the 'Like' button, a bar with six other buttons will appear: the heart, the smiley that expresses fun, the smiley that expresses the feeling of joy, the emoticon that expresses amazement and surprise and then the emoji crying and expressing sadness and finally the anger emoticon. Here is the presentation video of Facebook Reactions.

Facebook's declared goal: to show users the stories that interest them most in the News Feed. Surely this novelty will revolutionize the way of expressing one's reactions on Mark Zuckerberg's social network. And it will also be the same with regard to the posts we will publish on the our Facebook page. Your reactions will help us understand the sentiment of you, readers and fans of our page.
