Emirates and Boeing: agreement worth 13 billion euros

And 'the largest order in Boeing's history: Emirates Airline has signed a contract with the US aviation giant to buy 50 long-haul passenger airplanes (777-300) for a total value of 13 billion euros with an option for another 20 Boeing (about 6 billion euros ). This was stated by the Arab airline at the Dubai Air Show which began yesterday in the city of the same name, which has now become the key hub for routes connecting Europe and Asia.

"This is the largest order we've ever logged," said Boeing's vice president of marketing. “It was a record year for the 777 model”. In fact, 2011 units were sold in 182, almost 30 models more than the 154 sold in 2010.

If the US company thus recovers from the weak demand on the domestic market, the Middle Eastern company will continue its expansion plan. Emirates Airlines is one of the airlines in fastest growing in the world with 162 wide-bodied aircraft and flights to over 67 countries.
