In Foggia, Palazzo Chigi's ultimatum to Terna's CEO: "Either a €7,3 million severance package or the presidency of Eni."

Not more than one board of directors was enough to resolve the Di Foggia case, the case raised by the CEO of Terna, Josephine of Foggia who is claiming a severance package of 7,3 million euros for the three years spent at the helm of the electricity network as CEO and General Manager and who is now a candidate for the presidency of theEni. The very transition from a company controlled by CDP (Terna) to one directly controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Eni) has raised, beyond ethical aspects, a problem of interpretation of the rules because when a transfer from one public company to another, the right to severance pay ceases. But Di Foggia's lawyers object that CDP and MEF they are not formally the same thing. The problem annoys the Government who yesterday delivered an ultimatum to Di Foggia: either a super-settlement package or the presidency of Eni. In other words, if Di Foggia insists on demanding the generous severance package from Terna, he will not be elected president of Eni, for which the government is already considering other candidates, such as the former League MP.
