The Ccouncil of ministers, convened for this morning at 10 for the definitive approval of the Economic and Financial Document (Def), was postponed at 20 today due to the need to coordinate the text between the various ministries. The Minister for Infrastructure explained it Graziano Delrio explaining that the postponement is due "to the fact that the papers arrived later in the evening". For this reason, Delrio added, “we decided to take one last look to take things seriously, another 12 hours for one last rereading”. Delrio thus took care to eliminate any conspiracy and controversy on alleged conflicts within the Government in relation to the text of the Def, highlighting: "We are serene, calm and in agreement among ourselves".
On the table of the Council of Ministers this evening, in addition to the discussion of the Def, there will also be another fixed point of the spending review such as the National Reform Program and the implementation of the European directive establishing a single European railway area.
In this morning's briefing Claudius DeVincenti he was sworn in and assumed his duties after his appointment as Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. De Vincenti takes the place of Graziano Delrio who moved to the Ministry of Infrastructure after the resignation of Maurizio Lupi.
