SCUDETTO RACE - Juve: Conte plays the charge for Roma - Milan: Allegri tests Cassano in the trident

Work, work and more work. The resumption of the championship is getting closer and closer, so Juventus and Milan increase the intensity. After Wednesday's huge crowds, Antonio Conte has returned to block the doors of Vinovo, a sign that something is brewing. At Milanello, on the other hand, no prying eyes or cheering fans roam around, so Allegri can work in absolute tranquillity. On Duelist Thursday he then gave the words of Leonardo Bonucci and Maxi Lopez, two who may not be top-level players, but are hungry for victories and the Scudetto. All without forgetting Piermario Morosini, whose funeral was attended, among many others, by Giuseppe Marotta and Ariedo Braida.

HERE JUVE

Day of tactics at the Juventus Center, therefore doors rigorously barred and fans (those few who braved the wind and rain) outside the gates. Despite the aura of mystery that accompanied the training session, something emerged from the "Antonio Conte laboratory". The coach, always very flexible tactically speaking, seems oriented towards challenging Roma with a 4-3-3 formation, which is the Giallorossi's system of play. However, there are no certainties, also because Conte has accustomed us to surprises, but after 32 league matches we have learned one thing: the Juventus coach studies his opponent in depth and shapes his team accordingly. He certainly doesn't lack freedom of choice: against Roma he will have the whole squad at his disposal, including Bonucci who will play with a protective mask after the operation on his nose. By the way, yesterday the Juventus defender released a few statements on his official website: “Going back to play after 15 days isn't easy, especially against Roma. In my opinion, the most important thing will be to have the right approach to this match: you have to play like against Lazio and be more cynical. This is the most important match from here to the end, it's like a final. It just depends on us!”. Bonucci then closed his message with a thought for Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “Does he say he wants the Scudetto? Mamma mia, we want it cubed! Come on Juve, come on Juventus Stadium”. That once again it will be sold out (the remaining tickets were pulverized in 40 minutes!), but where's the news?

HERE MILAN

Unlike Juve, Milan have decided to dedicate their Thursday to athletic work, the only aspect in which the Bianconeri have demonstrated effective superiority. Perhaps this is why Massimiliano Allegri has chosen to take advantage of this forced break to put fuel in his legs, in view of the tour de force of the next 15 days. After an initial warm-up phase, the Rossoneri carried out a predominantly athletic work session on the external field, divided into various groups. Ignazio Abate and Mark Van Bommel also carried out all the work regularly with their teammates, who will certainly play on Sunday. On the central field, instead, Kevin Prince Boateng, Alexandre Pato, Thiago Silva, Massimo Ambrosini and Gennaro Gattuso worked separately, carrying out a high-intensity session. It should also be noted that Allegri tried the Cassano - Ibrahimovic - Robinho trident, but at the moment it is still too early to think about seeing Fantantonio again from the first minute. After training, the players went back to their homes, except for Maxi Lopez, who went to the Milan Channel studios. The Argentine, protagonist of a very unique market negotiation (so much so that he revealed that he felt like Tom Hanks in "The Terminal"), took the opportunity to have his say on the fight for the title: "We can't give up anything , this week we were able to train well. Sunday's is the first of six finals, we have to win them all." Few words, but full of grit. The one that will serve to attempt the assault on the Scudetto.
