Korea: "Ready for war if the US wants"

Tensions rise between the US and North Korea. North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Han Ryol, in an interview with the Associated Press, accused US President Donald Trump of having created a "vicious circle" of tensions on the Korean peninsula, he said that in the face of an American preemptive attack Pyongyang " he will not keep his arms crossed” and that the next nuclear test will be conducted when the North Korean Supreme Headquarters deems it most appropriate. Han added that North Korea will go to war if "the United States" chooses to. The deputy minister pointed the finger at the "reckless military maneuvers" of the US and possible "preventive attacks", warning that Pyongyang "has a powerful nuclear deterrent".

For the North Korean deputy foreign minister, Trump's policy is "more aggressive" than that of Barack Obama. "We made a comparison with previous US administrations and the conclusion is that this one is more violent and aggressive" towards North Korea, he added.

The Pentagon does not comment. And drop the rumors of the NBC, according to which the United States would be ready for a preemptive attack on North Korea in the event of an imminent nuclear test by Pyongyang.
According to American TV, the US would be ready for a preventive raid with conventional weapons against North Korea if and when the political leaders are convinced that Pyongyang is preparing for a nuclear test. NBC cites multiple US intelligence sources that a nuclear test could occur over the weekend. According to the same sources, the United States has positioned two destroyers with Tomahawk missiles not far from North Korea, intelligence sources tell NBC.
