First half of 2025 still better than expected in the 2025-2027 Plan for CDP – Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, which has committed resources for approximately 15,8 billion euros but above all supported investments for a total of 41,6 billion, up 2% compared to the €40,7 billion in the same period of the previous year, with a leverage effect of 2,6 times the resources committed in the six-month period, a value higher than the Plan forecasts (equal to 2,1 times in the three-year period), also thanks to the attraction of additional capital. Total credit to businesses, puThe budget for international administration and cooperation thus rises to 128 billion euros overall, up 2% compared to 2024 and moreover in a context – the Italian one – where private funding has been weaker.
Half-year report in detail: net profit up 8%
La total collection CDP's net assets in the first half of 2025 amounted to €356 billion, of which €291 billion related to postal savings, a slight increase (+0,4%) compared to the end of 2024 (€290 billion). At the same time, bond funding stood at €22 billion, up 9% compared to the end of the previous year. CDP's net assets, at €30 billion, are in line with the figure at the end of the previous year.
And the activity of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, besides being of fundamental support to the productive world and to national interests, is also profitable for the company itself: as regards theNet income, exceeded 1,9 billion in the first half of the year, up 8% compared to approximately 1,8 billion in the same period of last year, mainly thanks to the greater contribution of dividends from subsidiaries and group companies.consolidated net profit it is instead equal to 3,3 billion euros (in line with the first half of 2024).
