Not a simple agreement, but astrategic alliance to relaunch the Italian economy. Cassa Depositi e Prestiti e Confindustria they signed a document in Rome protocol which aims to strengthen the productive fabric with new financial instruments, greater access to credit and a decisive push towards innovation and foreign markets.
The signature was also the debut of the national roadshow The event will pass through ten cities, from Rome to Milan, and aims to listen to entrepreneurs and offer concrete solutions, intercepting needs and ideas directly from the local communities.
The priorities of the agreement
Energy transition, circular economy, digital innovation, revitalization of the South, strengthening the aerospace and defense sector. But also youth entrepreneurship, sustainable housing solutions for workers, and reducing regional disparities. It's on these fronts that the two institutions intend to concentrate their efforts.
The protocol provides for more subsidized credit instruments, the strengthening of the Guarantee Fund for SMEs, and the expansion of private equity and venture capital. Not only public resources, but also European and private capital to be mobilized to provide oxygen and prospects to businesses.
The agreement also looks beyond bordersCompanies will have stronger tools to grow in foreign markets and participate in international cooperation projects, with a particular focus on Africa, considered a strategic area for Italy.
Orsini and Scannapieco: A turning point is needed for businesses and competitiveness.
"This agreement represents a strategic choice: joining forces to give Italy solid and lasting growth based on industry. Manufacturing productivity is declining again, and a shift in incentives and investments is needed. On the eve of the budget, we are calling for a three-year plan worth €8 billion per year for innovation and digitalization, stable incentives, and a reduction in the tax burden on businesses," he commented. With the new 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, we expect to allocate over 60% of the Group's resources to businesses. The goal is to transform resources into concrete opportunities and support those who focus on innovation and sustainable development to strengthen the country's competitiveness," he added.
