The news of the rise in the capital of the Sienese bank by the US fund BlackRock came on Friday. According to reports from Consob, from 18 March the asset management giant, already a leading shareholder in Unicredit and Intesa Sanpaolo, increased its stake to 5,748% within the Sienese institute, becoming its second largest shareholder.
The stake is held by BlackRock through 18 different companies. March 18 is the same day that the Mps Foundation placed a 12% share of Mps on the market.
