The share of Atlantia rises in Piazza Affari, which, after an uncertain start to the session, gains 1,6% at the end of the morning, the best increase of the Ftse Mib. The actions of the group led by the Benetton family are supported by two positive figures.
The first concerns the traffic on the network Autostrade per l'Italia (a subsidiary of Atlantia), which between 28 July and 31 August increased by 1,6% on an annual basis in terms of kilometers travelled. According to preliminary data published today by Atlantia, traffic increased by 0,7% in the two-month period July-August. In the first eight months of the year, kilometers traveled on the Autostrade per l'Italia network increased by 1%.
The second data concerns Fiumicino airport, which achieved record daily passenger volumes. Rome airports (another subsidiary of Atlantia) communicates that the Roman airport on days of maximum traffic has reached peaks never recorded before at an altitude of 150 thousand passengers.
Adr then announces that in the July-August period, passenger traffic at the capital's airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) increased by 6,9% on an annual basis, while passengers reached 29 million in the first eight months of the year, growth of 5,3% compared to the same period of 2013.
