Banca Generali awarded by the Financial Times group as "Best Private Bank in Italy"

Banca Generali was recognized as the best Private Banking company in Italy by the influential London publications The Banker and Professional Wealth Management of the Financial Times group.

The award was presented by a panel of internationally selected experts (journalists, auditors, consultants and asset managers from the United States, Asia, and Europe) for demonstrated excellence in growth, client services and innovation at investment solutions.

In particular, the transparency, effectiveness and solidity of a business model that has been able to gain consensus and market share in a highly critical moment for the financial sector was appreciated. The Banca Generali share appears to be the best Italian financial on the Stock Exchange since the outbreak of the crisis of the American bank Lehman Brothers (September 2008) and one of the best global asset-gatherers since 2009 with a total return approaching 400%.

The quality of the mix between professional advice and competitiveness in investment solutions is reflected in the leadership of Banca Generali's private bankers in terms of per capita portfolio in Italy and in the extraordinary ability to raise savings demonstrated in recent years. The attention to innovation then emerges from the evolution of the services and from the development of the open architecture model, where the multi-brand concept finds maximum expression in the constant expansion of the sectors under management delegation entrusted to prestigious international partners.

Banca Generali had assets under management of 25,5 billion euro as at 30 September 2012, of which around 10,5 billion from the private banking division made up of around 300 highly experienced profiles. In the first 10 months of the year, deposits approached 1,5 billion euro which, added to the over 4,5 billion raised in the previous three-year period, confirm the growing trust of customers in the company.

The ceremony, held yesterday at the Four Seasons hotel in Singapore by the Management of the Financial Times magazines, and by the management of the British publishing group (www.privatebankingawards.com), saw the parade of the top management of the main international financial companies engaged in respective categories of expertise.

"We are very proud of this important international award which recognizes the quality and commitment of Banca Generali in the care and protection of customers' savings" declared Piermario Motta, CEO of Banca Generali - "the excellent results of the bank confirm the effectiveness of strategic choices and the growing perception among savers of the importance of relying on interlocutors with high skills and a proven reputation which in our case, as part of the prestigious Assicurazioni Generali international group, we are able to exhibit”.
