After the mobility Generali Italy expands the offer to the sector sport-wellness. The direct insurance company of Generali Italia and 100% native digital, Genertel, launches the new bill "Genertel Sci” to protect the customer from any unforeseen events during the practice of winter sports, in full compliance with the new legislation that came into force on 1 January 2022 and which introduced the obligation to have liability insurance.
The new product represents a step forward in the strategy “Let's make it simple” launched in December 2021, with which Genertel aims to make the customer experience easier, faster and more personalized based on four ecosystems of need: mobility, home, well-being and pet. The new platform of the company led by Maurizio Pescarini allows you to subscribe to policies in seconds, suspend and reactivate coverage with a click and obtain automatic damage reimbursement in minutes by sending the photo of the accident and an artificial intelligence algorithm is capable of estimate the extent of the damage.
Furthermore, the new policy proposed by Genertel allows you to fulfill theinsurance obligation provided for skiing, even going beyond the legally mandatory coverage range with additional guarantees to protect oneself and one's loved ones, one's equipment, as well as receiving assistance and reimbursements in the event of an accident that prevents sporting activity.
In detail, it will be possible to buy two solutions alternative protection:
• Genertel Sci, which includes civil liability guarantees (with a limit of €50.000), compensation for sports injuries, sports assistance (provided by Europ Assistance) and reimbursement of search and rescue costs;
• Genertel Sci+, which extends the protection of the first offer by increasing the ceiling to 100.000 euros and including additional benefits, with coverage of per diem from hospitalization and legal protection. Three optional guarantees can also be purchased in this package: permanent disability or death from an accident; reimbursement of damage to sports equipment; reimbursement of ski passes and ski lessons.
Among the characteristics of the insurance, the opportunity to insure up to 10 people (including non-family members) in a single policy, the temporal flexibility of the coverage with active protection solutions from 1 to 30 days, and the possibility of protecting yourself for a variety of winter sports: skiing, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing and tobogganing.
