Ansaldo Energia: Passera says he is in favor of solid proposals from an Italian consortium

According to the Minister of Economic Development, a solid consortium on Ansaldo Energia is to be viewed favorably - Finmeccanica is in talks with Siemens for the sale of 55% of the company valued at 1,3 billion for 100% - According to rumors, the Italian consortium is expanding around to the FSI of the CDP

"If there are financially solid and serious proposals from Italian operators also with CDP, I will see them favorably". This was stated by the Minister of Development Corrado Passera during a hearing in Parliament regarding Ansaldo Energia, of the Finmeccanica group, in the phase of divestment.

Finmeccanica is in talks with the Germans of Siemens, which values 100% of the company at 1,3 billion, for a sale of its 55% stake in Ansaldo Energia while the remaining 45% belongs to the US fund First Reserve. In recent months, CDP has also taken the field with an expression of interest for a minority part of its stake in the Ligurian gas turbine company. An Italian consortium formed around the FSI was formed by the Energia Brescia Group (coordinated by the Camozzi Group), the Acciaierie Venete Group and the entrepreneur Davide Usbertiun "aimed at a possible significant minority investment in Ansaldo Energia". The agreement was signed on 12 October. Today IlSole24Ore writes that Termomeccanica, a company that produces plants for the environment, mechanical pumps and compressors, is ready to participate in the Italian consortium to take over Ansaldo Energia and has already given its availability to the Italian strategic fund.
