Bologna Airport: profits and revenues up, dividend of 0,277 euro

Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport closed 2016 with revenues, margins and profits on the increase. By virtue of the results achieved, the dividend will be equal to 0,277 per share.

Based on what was communicated by the same company that manages the Emilia airport, in 2016 revenues rose by 12,8% to 90,4 million euros. Ebitda grew by 18,1% to 28,2 million, while net profit flattened out at 11,4 million, recording a record rise of 60%. According to the note, the result was positively influenced by the growth in traffic and the absence of non-recurring charges linked to the listing process amounting to 2,6 million in 2015. Speaking precisely of passenger traffic, last year the increase it was equal to 11,5%, to 7,7 million.

Taking into consideration only the last quarter of 2016, Bologna Airport recorded revenues of €20,1 million, an increase of 11% compared to the same period of the previous year. Ebitda which rose by 15,5% to 5,5 million, while Ebit, penalized by higher provisions for risks and charges, fell by 22,8% to 2,2 million.

Net profit attributable to shareholders was also €1,2 million (-4% y/y). The net financial position as at 31 December 2016 was positive for 8,5 million and compares with the debt situation of 8,6 million at the end of September.

Thanks to the excellent results achieved in 2016, the company's board of directors decided to propose to the shareholders' meeting the distribution of a dividend of 0,277 per share (95% payout). Piazza Affari investors seem to appreciate today's data. At 14.45 pm, the Bologna Airport share traded up by 2,12% to 17,31 euro, outperforming the FTSE Italia Star (+0,6%).
