From 1 December, Alberto Ripepi will assume the role of Technology Director Europe of the Vodafone Group. In his new position, Ripepi will be responsible for the strategic definition, construction and management of Vodafone's Network and Information Technology infrastructures and solutions at European level. Having joined Vodafone Italia in 2001, Ripepi held gradually increasing roles, until he assumed the position of Director of Technology Italy in 2006 and Director of Technology of the Southern Europe Region in 2012. In addition to the development of 3G technology and the fixed network in Italy , Ripepi has followed the challenge of the new generation 4G and fiber networks, as well as that of IT innovation. Previously, he held positions within Olivetti Ricerca, Infostrada and Fiat Auto.
Also from December 1st, Nadia Benabdallah will assume the new role of Regional Engineering Director Europe, reporting directly to Alberto Ripepi. Benabdallah has held the position of Head of Regional Engineering Southern Europe since September 2012, with the aim of supporting the evolution and development of 3G and 4G networks in Southern European countries. She joined Vodafone Italia in 1998, she was Engineering Director and Technology Strategy & Group Programs Director, role in which he provided an important contribution to the development of the Technological Strategy of Vodafone Italia. Previously, he participated in the start up of Omnitel Pronto Italia from 1994 to 1996.
