Axa Private Equity, a diversified private equity firm with an international reach, today announced the sale of Aixam Mega Sas (leading company in the minicar sector in Italy and Europe) to Polaris Industries.
Polaris Industries is a British corporate group specializing in "powersports" vehicles: off-road vehicles, motorcycles, light military vehicles, professional vehicles such as snowmobiles and quads. In 2012, it had sales of €2,5 billion.
"We are satisfied with our partnership with Axa - said Philippe Colacon, business unit president - but now it's time to turn the page and focus on the company's new developments together with Polaris".
