High Tech: consumption in the world exceeds one trillion euros

The mega consumer electronics fair, CES, opens in Las Vegas on Tuesday 8 January, and on the occasion of this event GFK announced the world performance of the hi-tech sectors. For the first time, the turnover exceeded one trillion euros (1,01 trillion euros in 2018) with a growth of 4 percent.

The sector of telecommunication maintains – reports lacasadipaola.it – a record of constant increase with a +7 percent, on par with small appliances (which thanks to decidedly unique innovations have had extraordinary success), while majaps have seen a slight decrease of 1 percent.

The area that sees i largest increases is that of Asia Pacific, which holds about 42 percent of the total market, followed by Europe with 25 percent and North America with 20. According to the expectations of consumers who already in 2017 had caused sales of the most innovative products to fibrillate, 2018 it was even more brilliant with a real boom in high-end, connected, Artificial Intelligence and even eco-friendly technologies.

According to GFK, world leader in market surveys of Technical Consumer Goods, sales will be positive again in 2019 with a more contained increase of 2 percent.
